We've loved keeping you up to date online this weekend, and we've loved your posts on social media even more.

Here are some highlights:

  • We now have many more photos in our Facebook album. Please have a look and tag anyone you know. We will be adding more photos soon. You can also checkout the hastag #otwnz on Facebook.
  • There have been almost 350 instagrams tagged #otwnz over the weekend, unfortunately we haven't found anyway to link to them all on the web except statigram where you have to be logged into an instagram account to view it. If anyone knows of a better way to view an instagram hashtag on the web let us know.
  • There have been thousands of tweets posted on team pages, and using the hastag #otwnz. We don't have a final count so if there are any IT gurus who know how to archive and count them get in touch.
  • Uploading to YouTube takes forever and the quality of the available videos is poor so there are only 5 in our YouTube playlist so far. If you have uploaded a video or you know of any participant created videos let us know and we will add them to our playlist.

Contact us at if you have any comments or suggestions.

It's another lovely hot sunny day in Taupo and 224 teams have finished now, and the remainder are getting close. All the teams are past Checkpoint 6 now, with 11 between Checkpoint 6 and 7 and 19 between Checkpoint 7 and the finish.

This team of social workers just slid their way through 100km of picturesque terrain. Help them out with a donation on their team page. We'll be dancing to mariachi as you and your support crew slip slide off to the tequila bar!

These guys are not SAS. They're not Navy Seals. They're not Gurkha Signals. But they are hilarious! Check out one of the funniest team pages and support their effort. You may just get lost playing bridge and eating chocolate. But don't think it's all fun and games down in Waikanae -- BoB (as they like to be called) have finished as a team of four and smashed their fundraising target. They're currently at $3251!

Four Devonport mums, an unbelievably long walk, hilarious pink costumes, and an incredible $10,792 raised to beat extreme poverty. We love you Robina and team. Full stop.

Who wants to eat bananas knowing that the workers who grew them have had their basic rights violated? Blech. We like All Good Fairtrade bananas! Thanks guys for providing delicious fruit that's a positive experience for everyone involved. It's good. Every little bit of it is good. Not most of it -- all of it. It's ALL good.
