Oxfam Trailwalker, April 2 - 3, 2016, Whakatāne
"What you go through mentally and physically is absolutely amazing ... it's the best experience we've had to date!"
Team Seagull Express raised $6,097 for Oxfam Trailwalker
Oxfam Trailwalker is an incredible team challenge and truly amazing experience. On April 2-3 in Whakatāne teams of four challenged themselves and poverty by walking or running 100km or 50km together in challenging conditions while fundraising to help save and improve lives.
Check out maps and photos of the course the teams faced, or check a team's times or make a donation on their team page. All weekend we brought you stories, photos and videos on our live blog, and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Oxfam Trailwalker is an annual fundraising event organised and promoted by Oxfam New Zealand. We believe a fairer, safer, more sustainable world is possible. By being part of our work through Oxfam Trailwalker you are helping people live a life of hope and opportunity.
We work with local communities and global organisations to tackle the root causes of poverty in three ways:
Helping people help themselves.
Providing people with access to the skills and resources necessary to earn a decent living, to have clean water, health and education, and to have a voice in their community.
Responding to emergencies.
In disaster or conflict, we act quickly to save lives and help survivors recover.
From local food suppliers to the Beehive or the UN, we campaign to change the unjust practices and policies that keep people in poverty.
