Best Environmentally Sustainable Event 2009, 2010 and 2011: the NZ Association of Events Professionals
Oxfam New Zealand is committed to environmental sustainability. We’re proud to walk the talk through Oxfam Trailwalker, which is at the forefront of sustainable event management in New Zealand. For the past three consecutive years, Oxfam Trailwalker has been awarded 'Best Environmentally Sustainable Event' by the NZ Association of Events Professionals (NZAEP). The NZAEP is the professional body for events organisers and it is awesome to be recognised with this accolade from an industry with a growing awareness of the need for events to be environmentally sustainable. We work hard to minimise the environmental impact made by Oxfam Trailwalker and are pleased that the event is a showcase for sustainable practices.
Special Events Charity Fundraising Award 2011: the Fundraising Institute of NZ
Oxfam Trailwalker has been awarded the Special Events Charity Fundraising Award at the 2011 Fundraising Institute of NZ (FINZ) Fundraising Excellence Awards, held at parliament mid-May. FINZ is the professional body for all those involved with fundraising, sponsorship and events in the not-for-profit sector so it’s awesome to be recognised with this accolade from our fundraising peers.

Our award winning partnership with Maui since 2007 shows an excellent partnership and results, based on aligned values and relevant target markets. We are continually developing new initiatives and growing the relationship, and enjoy celebrating our successes each year.
